Dear Students,
We would like to inform you of an important event happening next week. The English Department will be hosting a special lecture on the topic of "Cultural Differences in English Communication." This lecture aims to enhance your understanding of how cultural backgrounds can affect communication styles and improve your skills in cross-cultural interactions.
The lecture will take place in Room 305 of the Main Building on Wednesday, October 18th, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. It will be presented by Dr. Sarah Thompson, a renowned linguist and cultural expert. Dr. Thompson has extensive experience in teaching and researching cross-cultural communication, and her insights will undoubtedly be enlightening for all participants.
All students are encouraged to attend this event. It is a great opportunity to learn more about cultural nuances that play a significant role in English-speaking environments. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to ensure a smooth start. Seating is limited, so please register your attendance by sending an email to englishdept@university.edu no later than Monday, October 16th.
