Once upon a time, there was an emperor who loved new clothes more than anything else. He spent all his money on them and had countless garments in his wardrobe.
One day, two swindlers came to the city, claiming they could weave the most beautiful cloth that was invisible to anyone who was either stupid or unfit for their position. The emperor was intrigued and gave them gold and silk to start their work.
Days passed, but the loom remained empty. Yet, the emperor pretended to admire the "fabulous" fabric every day, fearing he might be considered unworthy if he didn't. His ministers followed suit, praising the non-existent clothes.
Finally, the emperor decided to parade through the city wearing his new "attire." As he walked, everyone cheered, pretending to see the magnificent clothes, except for a young child who shouted, "But he isn't wearing anything at all!"
The truth spread quickly, and from that day on, the emperor realized the importance of honesty over pride.
This tale teaches us never to fear speaking the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it may seem.
