【小学生英语故事比赛演讲稿】Good morning, teachers and dear friends!

Today, I am very happy to stand here and share a little story with you. The name of my story is "The Brave Little Bird."

Once upon a time, in a big and green forest, there lived a small bird named Lily. She was not as strong or as fast as the other birds. Every day, she watched the older birds fly high in the sky, and she dreamed of flying like them one day.

One day, a big storm came. The wind blew strongly, and the trees shook. All the birds flew away quickly to find shelter. But Lily was too scared to move. She stayed under a tree, trembling.

Suddenly, she heard a loud noise. A baby squirrel fell from a branch and was stuck in the bushes. The squirrel cried for help. Lily looked around and saw that no one else was near. She took a deep breath and decided to help.

With all her strength, she flew up to the bush and tried to push the branches apart. It was hard, but she didn’t give up. After a few tries, the branches moved, and the squirrel jumped out safely.

The squirrel thanked her, and the other birds came back to see what had happened. They were surprised and proud of Lily’s courage. From that day on, Lily became known as the brave little bird.

This story teaches us that even though we may feel small or afraid, we can do great things if we try our best and never give up.
