My homeroom teacher, Miss Li, welcomed us warmly. She introduced herself and told us that this year would be very important for us because we would take the entrance exam for high school soon. That made me feel a bit stressed, but also motivated to study harder.

After the class started, I met some new classmates. Some of them were from other schools, and others had been in the same class before. We introduced ourselves and shared our plans for the new term. It was fun to learn about their interests and hobbies.

In the afternoon, there was a meeting where the principal gave a speech about the importance of hard work and good behavior. He encouraged us to make the most of this year and to support each other. I left the meeting feeling more confident and ready to face the challenges ahead.

Overall, the first day of the new term was a mix of emotions. I was excited to meet new people and start a new chapter in my life. I also realized that this year would be tough, but I was determined to do my best.
