1. The Little Mouse and the Cat

Once upon a time, there was a small mouse who lived in a quiet corner of a forest. Every day, he would run around looking for food and hiding from the big cat that lived nearby.

One day, the mouse saw the cat sleeping under a tree. He thought, “This is my chance!” So he ran up to the cat and said, “Hey, big cat! You are so lazy!”

The cat opened one eye and said, “And you are so brave, little mouse.”

The mouse replied, “I am not afraid of you!”

The cat stood up and said, “Then let’s play a game. If you can find me before I wake up, I will let you go. But if I catch you, you will be my lunch.”

The mouse ran as fast as he could, but the cat woke up quickly and caught him. Just as the cat was about to eat him, the mouse said, “You won the game, but I have a secret. I am not just any mouse—I am the king of the forest!”

The cat laughed and said, “That’s funny. But I’m still bigger than you.”

The mouse smiled and said, “Yes, but I have more friends. And together, we can defeat you.”

From that day on, the cat never bothered the mice again.

Moral: Sometimes, courage and friendship can be stronger than strength.

2. The Wise Old Man

A young man went to visit a wise old man in the mountains. He asked, “What is the most important thing in life?”

The old man said, “Come back tomorrow and I will tell you.”

The next day, the young man returned. The old man asked, “Did you bring anything with you?”

“No,” the young man replied.

“Then come back again tomorrow,” the old man said.

This continued for three days. On the fourth day, the young man came back and said, “I don’t understand. Why do you keep asking me to return?”

The old man smiled and said, “Because patience is the most important thing in life.”

Moral: Sometimes, the answer lies in the journey, not the destination.

3. The Boy Who Cried Wolf

There once was a boy who watched the sheep on a hill. One day, he cried out, “Wolf! Wolf! A wolf is coming!”

The villagers ran up the hill, only to find no wolf. They were angry and told him not to cry wolf again.

A few days later, the boy cried again, “Wolf! Wolf! A wolf is coming!”

Again, the villagers came running, but there was no wolf. This time, they were even angrier.

Finally, a real wolf came. The boy cried, “Wolf! Wolf! A wolf is coming!”

But this time, no one believed him. The wolf ate all the sheep.

Moral: Lying can make people stop believing you, even when you’re telling the truth.
