Snowy and Cold
Today is the first day of my winter vacation. I feel very happy because I don’t have to go to school anymore. After breakfast, I decided to write an English diary. I think it’s a good way to improve my English skills.
In the morning, I helped my mom clean the house. It was a little hard, but I felt proud when everything was tidy. Then I watched some English videos on YouTube. I learned some new words like “snowman”, “sled”, and “hot chocolate”. I also tried to speak out loud so that I can practice my pronunciation.
At noon, I had lunch with my family. We ate dumplings and noodles. My father told me a funny story about his childhood. I laughed a lot. After lunch, I played with my little brother for a while. He is very cute and always makes me smile.
In the evening, I did my homework. I finished my math and Chinese assignments quickly. Then I spent some time reading an English book. It’s a story about a boy who travels to a magical land. I really like it because the language is simple and the pictures are beautiful.
I feel very lucky to have this holiday. I hope I can make the most of it and learn something new every day. I will keep writing in English every day. Maybe one day I can write a long story by myself!
